Looking for a fun and meaningful summer project with your kids? Help support our neighbors in need by making sandwiches or hard-boiled eggs for St. Francis House! Here’s how to help: Please wash hands before preparing food. Use inexpensive bread and fillings like lunch meat, cheese, tuna, peanut butter & jelly. No need to add mayo or mustard. Wrap each sandwich in a baggie, then place back in the original bread bag. We’re also grateful for donations of hard-boiled eggs, Cutie oranges, bananas, small apples, and cheese sticks. Every weekday, St. Francis House serves over 150 people, and your generosity makes a real impact! NEW Drop-off Times: St. Bridget: Mondays, 1–2 PM Our Lady of the Lake (OLL): Thursdays, 9 AM Donors from Assumption and St. Catherine parishes, please bring your donations to either St. Bridget or OLL. May is PREPARES Baby Drive!!! In May, we honor the Blessed Mother and celebrate Mother’s Day! Our four-parish church family is doing just that with our May Baby Drive to restock the PREPARES headquarters Baby Boutique at St. Edwards and the Christ the King baby closet. Our most needed items are: baby wipes; diapers sizes 5,6,7; clothing sizes 18 mo. To 5T. Other diaper sizes and clothing sizes are always needed as well. Also, diaper bag backpacks are appreciated by new moms. We are unable to accept car baby seats. All four parishes will have PREPARES donation sites in the parish narthex. Our wonderful PREPARES volunteers will deliver the donations to the baby closets. PREPARES in our state just celebrated 10 years of ministry! PREPARES has grown to 197 parishes assisting parents in need during pregnancy and the first five years of their children’s lives. None of this would be possible without the generous donations of parishes like ours. Catholic Speed Dating Back by popular demand! Please join us for the third regional speed dating event for Catholic young adults (ages 21-35) on Saturday, March 22, at 7 p.m. at Holy Rosary, Edmonds. Please note: this is a Catholic event, not a season of The Bachelor. Tickets are $25 and include food and drinks. Seattle Catholic Dance Crew is hosting a Country Dance Workshop featuring lessons in country swing and line dancing on Saturday, March 8th, at St. Alphonsus Parish Hall in Seattle at 7 p.m. Young adults (21–35) are welcome to attend.

The combined St Vincent de Paul Conferences of Assumption St. Bridget, Our Lady of the Lake, and St. Catherine of Siena gathered together for a Mass and reception at St. Bridget on February 19th. This was a celebration of the Friendship and Spirituality side of our ministry. In addition to the great snacks and desserts, there was a rousing game of Northeast Seattle Catholic Community Patron Saint Trivia - won by Beth Schweiger of OLL. Thanks to all who attended.

Looking to help around the church? Helping with our liturgical ministries is a great way to connect and strengthen our community. We need assistance as Sacristans, Altar Servers, Hospitality Ministers/Ushers, Gift Bearers and Eucharistic Ministers. Please consider signing up to help with this important ministry. Need training? After the training, join us for a special celebration with pizza to thank our servers for the past year and kick off the new school year. Vacation Bible School at St. Bridget's will take place on August 5-9th from 9:30AM to Noon and volunteers are needed in a variety of roles! From leading crafts and games to prepping snacks to helping with set up and cleanup-- we cannot offer this amazing week without your help.
